Crystallized gold is rare and is very rarely available from China. This scuptural thumbnail, with high luster and rich yellow color, is composed entirely of distorted crystals. It certainly looks like an eagle or owl (raptor) with spread wings in one view! Nearly all of the crystals are hoppered. Very rare gold from Yunnan Province and found in 2008, according to the label. The current spot price for gold is nearly $45 per gram or nearly $1397 per troy ounce. 6.3 grams or a bullion value of over $280. Specimen value for crystallized Chinese gold is significantly more, as they are very rare on the market.
