Item Description

A remarkable locality piece consisting of two complex, intergrown crystals, embedded in quartz. The frontal crystal is 8 mm tall, and quite robust. It is sharpest on one face, compared to the others, but it is clearly a squashed octahedral crystal and not a mass or nugget style. Old and very rare material. Ex Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection and dating to the 1920s or 1930s from their South American expeditions. Valued at $900 for crystal habit and rarity.
