Item Description
Gold specimens from Leadville are not common on the market, and typically are snatched up immediately by collectors when they are made available. Recently, a local digger discovered a small amount of crystallized Gold specimens on the dumps of the Little Johnnie Mine, and this piece is one of said specimens. The piece features beautiful, metallic, brightly colored crystallized "leaves" of Gold on Quartz matrix . As mentioned, the "leaves" are actually crystallized (!), and we have photographed the Gold with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better show the detail. A great little Gold specimen from this historic and classic Colorado locality.
