Gold on Quartz (2017-18 finds) - large mass of ore

A striking line of clusters of bright yellow dendritic spinel-twinned gold crystals proudly marches across the middle of the large blocky layered quartz matrix and is joined by a rich sprinkling of bright gold flakes, especially at the top of the piece. A back face hosts a myriad of tiny bright gold flakes, as a bonus. This impressive piece is from recents finds at the Los Delirios claim, Soto Province, a most obscure locale in northeastern Santander Department, Colombia. An exciting new gold discovery from a most unusual locale. This is the last piece from the small lot we recently obtained. It is heavy, although no telling how much is gold vs. rock. but it is a good representative example of gold ore, in any case - 1118 GRAMS!
