Gold on Quartz (2017-18 finds)

Sparkly, bright microcrystalline gold is richly peppered on the front of the blocky quartz matrix. Scattered crusts and flecks of gold are noted on the other four sides of the piece. This impressive piece is from recents finds at the Los Delirios claim, Soto Province, a most obscure locale in northeastern Santander Department, Colombia. An exciting new gold discovery from a most unusual locale. We found another piece from the small lot we recently obtained. It is heavy, although no telling how much is gold vs. rock, but it is a good representative example of gold ore, in any case - 152 grams mass.
