Item Description

An aesthetic, striking and unusual gold thumbnail from the unique 1990s Newfoundland find. Beautiful and dramatic elongates plates and spinel-twinned crystals of bright, hackly, microcrystalline gold are aesthetically placed on the left side of the unique, pink granitic feldspar crystals and are starkly contrasted by a black mineral. Some of the gold is iridescent! More gold is hidden on the right back. Very few pieces had the black, host rock and pink granite. This is certainly one of the most aesthetic pieces we have offered at auction. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection.
