Gold nuggets (old CA)

Item Description

A "golden" deal of nine, sculptural, flattened, river-worn, gold nuggets from the historic Yuba River placers area. They were mined and kept in a family collection since the 1950s or 1960s, I was told by my source, who sold that particular family collection. They have a rich, mellow-yellow patina and really interesting, bar-like to curvaceous to nubby to rounded forms. There is a tiny bit of quartz embedded in a couple of nuggets. Total weight is 7.6 grams. The current gold price is over $1370/ounce or over $44/gram. Bullion value is about $330. Specimen value is more. For this locality, they are excellent
