Gold nuggets (old CA)

Item Description

A "golden" deal of four, sculptural, flattened, river-worn, gold nuggets from the historic Yuba River placers area. They were mined and kept in a family collection since the 1950s or 1960s, I was told by my source, who sold that particular family collection. They have a rich, mellow-yellow patina and really interesting and curvaceous form. A couple of the nuggets look like boots or shoes. Total weight is 3 grams. The current gold price is nearly $1200/ounce or almost $40/gram. Bullion value alone is thus around $120. Specimen value is more. For this locality, they are excellent.
