Item Description
Visible gold in ANY quality or form is RARE from Namibia. This rich, shapely, water-worn nugget with some protruding subhedral crystals is composed of bright, mellow gold with quartz. The multiple gold-bearing quartz veins in this deposit were mined from 1917 until 1963. The majority of the historical gold production came from proximal alluvial-eluvial deposits. from the Sussman collection. mass is 64 carats or 13 grams ( .42 troy ounces = about $900 at current spot price).
