A sculptural gold nugget comprised of bright, lightly river-worn, octahedrons nicely accented with a bit of black tarnish from the famous Motherlode of California. Classic and very showy, older material. Most nuggets are much more worn than this. Weight is nearly 4 grams. The current gold price is over $1229/ounce or over $39.50/gram. Bullion value is over $150. Specimen value is more. For this locality, this is excellent.
