This item is part of a special benefit auction for the Rice Museum of Rocks & Minerals (ricenorthwestmuseum.org). Items are either deaccessions from the museum's collection or were donated by generous supporters listed below.

Billing for this auction will occur on Monday, April 19, for payment using PayPal or credit card. Shipping will be billed at cost, or please contact brandy@mineralauctions.com if you'd like to plan on picking up items at future shows or during a stop through Dallas.

This offering is for a lot of nine Gold specimens from the historic Ace of Diamonds Mine in Washington State. It consists of one thumbnail nugget-like specimen and eight small thumbnail specimens. The main piece of this group is a 1.7 x 1 x 0.7 cm, bright yellow specimen of dense, spongy, scintillating piece of Native Gold. It's bristling with tiny, elongated, octahedral, interlocking, Gold crystals that are magnificent under a loupe or a microscope. It is composed entirely of Gold! The remaining pieces are a combination of yellow to yellow-white, densely aggregated to arborescent specimens of a few millimeters in size and are essentially freebies to promote this lot and give someone a really good deal! The mass of these could not be determined because they are all anchored in their display boxes.
