Gold in Quartz

A nice slabbed specimen of Gold from Slovakia featuring a good sized patch of sparkling "cloud" Gold in matrix comprising Quartz, Galena, Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite. This mine is still active according to my friends in Slovakia. I hope to see more of these pieces (and even better quality) on the market soon. This material reminds me of Gold from the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, similar to pieces I've seen from the Camp Bird Mine or perhaps the Sunnyside Mine. These are not terribly common to see on the market, and it's a great opportunity for a Gold collector to pick up a good piece of this contemporary classic material for a great price.
