A very elegant and stunning specimen of crystallized Gold on matrix from the classic Kalgoorlie-Boulder area of Western Australia, famous for nuggets! Crystallized golds from here are rare! This is a killer specimen of crystalline arborescent Gold composed of mostly octahedral crystals with some cubes all in a complex arrangement and the close inspection reveals the crystals are very distinct! The roughly formed octahedral crystals are elongate and some are more flattened than others and almost give the Gold a hackly look. The Gold is incredibly bright yellow suggesting a high fineness and not much silver is incorporated into the structure. There are a few bits and pieces of white Quartz incorporated into the branches Gold during growth in the vein. The pedestal of vein Quartz ranges from a whitish tan to an iron-stained rusty brown and provides exceptional aesthetics and classic contrast to the piece and it has Gold veinlets within it.
