Gold (excellent micro crystals)

Item Description

A beautiful little specimen of Gold from the famous Breckenridge District in Colorado. This area is well known for producing some of the finest and most distincitve Gold specimens from any locality in Colorado, and arguably the world. The piece hosts small, brilliant crystallized native Gold crystals, ranging in habit from octahedra to dodecahedra along with some tetrahexahedra, and even combinations of all three! I have photographed some of the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate their qualty. It is unclear how old the specimen is, but it is safe to say that it would be at least 30 years old, and probably closer to 50 years. A great reference Gold specimen from one of the most historiic Gold-producing regions in Colorado.
