Item Description
Gold specimens from the Zapata Claims are among the finest crystallized examples of the species extant. This area is well-known for its notably well-formed crystals and elegant skeletal groups that have been coming out for decades. This particular specimen is a striking example, and a great blend of both textbook crystal form and the famous "hoppered" material. This crystal group shows several well-formed, smooth, defined dodecahedral crystal faces that are beautifully complimented by the negative crystal faces that literally form skeletal features creating hollow areas on the reverse side. The rich buttery golden color combined with the above average luster and eye-catching crystallization make for a wonderful representation of these classic Gold specimens from Venezuela. Specimen weight is 3.94 grams (0.126 troy ounces).
