Gold (crystallized) with Quartz

Gold specimens from Leadville are not common on the market, and typically are snatched up immediately by collectors when they are made available. Recently, a local digger discovered a small amount of crytallized Gold specimens on the dumps of the Little Johnnie Mine, and this piece is one of said specimens. The piece features a beautiful, metallic, brightly colored crystals of Gold, associated with minor Quartz. We have photographed the Gold under high magnificatgion to better show the detail. A great little Gold specimen from this historic and classic Colorado locality.
