Item Description

A rich and showy gold ore specimen from an unknown mine in Colorado. Lustrous, mellow-yellow, hackly microcrystalline gold is richly scattered on the matrix with quartz. A rare, fabulous looking, 1 mm, gold ball on the upper-right corner is a real highlight. Old-time material from the Skip Colflesh Collection, acquired from Don Schmerling and dated to circa 1960, according to the label.
