Item Description

Native gold is disseminated throughout the ores at Bisbee, but seldom in visible amounts. Gold was of significant economic importance during the 1900s, when refining techniques improved. This is a very rare, very rich example of bright mellow gold flakes and veinlets richly scattered on one face of the lightly iridescent, microcrystalline, rich bornite copper ore with a few pods of quartz. Another face is peppered with splendent, golden-yellow pyrite microcrystals. Comes with an older Frazier's Minerals label, and they are well-known as reputable dealers. A must for the locality or species collector. Value???
