Item Description

This modern-day Gold locality has produced a plethora of amazing specimens featuring a wide range of crystal habits, including some of the most impressive Spinel-Law twinned Gold crystals I have seen. This specimen was discovered in 2006 and is a great thumbnail sized example of these beautiful Golds. Both sides of the piece features very well-crystallized, sharp, metallic crystals of Gold with a flattened octahedral habit free of matrix. The color is a slightly lighter golden hue, so it likely contains a bit of silver content, possibly bordering on being electrum. A very attractive piece from a mine that has given collectors some of the most amazing Gold specimens to come out in recent years. Priced at $2,800 in the inventory. Specimen weight is 2.13 grams.
