A wonderful thumbnail specimen of the famous and eye-catching Golds from the Motherlode Area in California. No specific mine was given, as there are literally dozens of them in the area, but it was purchased from a reliable source. Up close you can see the the brilliant, metallic, leaf-like flowing quality of the Gold with the rich almost "orange" color that makes this material so desirable. Good quality and showy, and certainly a worthwhile pick up for a native elements collector, a California minerals collector or somebody who collects thumbnails.
