Item Description
A wonderful example of this well-known find, from approximately 2005. This specimen is a lovely thumbnail-sized example featuring sharp, very well-formed, slightly skeletal crystals with a gorgeous rich color. You can see a bit of intergrown Quartz as well, which is not common in my experience with this material. The crystals are mostly octahedral in habit, though I can see some modifying dodecahedral and tetrahexahedral faces as well. Complete-all-around, and just beautiful up close as you can see from the many photos we took of it. Crystallized Gold is one of the most beautiful sites in the mineral world, and this piece would make a wonderful addition to a thumbnail suite, a collection of Brazilian minerals, or a native elements collection. Specimen weight is 2.30 grams.
