Item Description
A very hard to find specimen of Native Gold from the Our Chance Mine in the Mother Lode District of California. This mine dates back to 1932, yet specimens are incredibly difficult to find on the market. This piece is a wonderful robust rounded nugget with a glowing metallic "yellow" golden hue (probably due to minor copper content). A lot of California Gold specimens have that gorgeous rich gold color that make them stand out just a bit more than other specimens from around the world. The piece weighs in at 0.65 troy ounces (20.3 grams) and based upon the current price of Gold (approximately US $1,560 per ounce as of the time of this posting), the piece is essentially worth the cost of the reserve bid based upon the SPOT VALUE alone! If you collect native elements, thumbnails or minerals of California, don't miss out on this one as you'll be hard pressed to get your hands on another one from the Our Chance Mine for such a bargain price in today's market.
