Goethite ps Magnetite

Item Description

These sharp and unusual pseudomorphs of Goethite after Magnetite are rather uncommon. Here there are actually three pseudos attached in one cluster. The largest pseudo is 1.7 cm on its longest edge. The attached Goethite octahedra are virtually complete on the presentation side - very sharp and pristine. The underside is actually contacted, molded after other sharp crystals, probably long-gone Magnetites. The aesthetics of this cluster, for habit, distribution, and rarity, make this a choice thumbnail.
