Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are RARE from this obscure Oakland stone quarry. This sharp pseudomorph of geothite after a pyrite cube has luster and variable rust-brown color. Minor bruising is noted, but the piece displays well with damage hidden. Bob Trimingham's label states this California rarity very well: "Historic specimen of locality interest."
