An exceptional and aesthetic large matrix pseudomorph specimen from Elko County, Nevada. Four intergrown clusters, to 3.7 cm across, of sharp, lustrous, striated, mahogany-brown pseudomorphs of goethite after pyrite crystals are very attractively set in the quartz matrix. The pseudos are pristine. Rare in this matrix size, richness and quality from this locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. A must for the locality or species collector.
