Goethite ps. After Gypsum (Urish Coll.)

Item Description

An excellent and imposing specimen of lustrous, botryoidal, black goethite pseudomorphing and casting gypsum crystals from Santa Eulalia, Mexico. The sparkly, tiny calcites are a super, bright compliment to the dark goethite. This very fine piece was an early acquisition in the Harold Urish Collection (#156) and is old, choice material. Uncommon in such quality and with real luster. It displays well from either direction.
