Item Description

A classic and very showy goethite specimen from Colorado. A striking, 4.0 cm, radial cluster of lustrous, black to earthy-brown, goethite blades is aesthetically set on the pearlescent, pastel-pink, orthoclase crystal matrix on this showy and excellent combination piece. Close examination of the goethite blades reveals the extremely high luster, AND brown GEMMINESS to some of the blades. Three, partially hidden smoky quartz crystals on the feldspar are a nifty accent. This fine combination specimen is from a recent find at the Dreamtime Mine in Teller County. The sculptural specimen was expertly collected and is nearly pristine. Valued at $200 by the former owner, Adam Sotomayor, who collected it. Classic Colorado.
