RARE and exceptional pristine botryoidal goethite stalactite on banded limonite matrix from the old iron ore locality of Grubb Lake in Pennsylvania, worked for centuries and from which few enough specimens survive. The form and luster of the stacked botryoids are strikingly artistic on the sculptural 360-degree matrix. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $175 for free. Self-collected by Doug Wallace in the 1980s and in his personal collection until sold to us in 2020. Very rare in this form and quality. A must for the species or locality collector, or just because it is pretty and interesting on its own merits.
