Item Description
A wonderful display specimen of this beloved and contemporary classic material from a recent discovery. The Goethites from Tharsis are among the most notable for the species mostly due to their amazingly bright and eye-catching rainbow-like iridescence. The amazingly vivid colors range from brilliant magentas and golds to bright yellows and aquas. The gorgeous botryoidal / stalactitic form along with the wonderful coloration make for a truly beautiful overall piece. Even the "black" part of the specimen are bright with a silvery flash. For iron oxide, this is not your run of the mill Goethite, and it only compares in my mind to the famous Turgites from Graves Mt. in Georgia. I don't know how many of these will be available in the future, so if you want one, don't miss out.
