The best example of Goethite that I've seen from the Parknoweth Mine in Cornwall. This piece has superior glistening luster and rich jet-black color on the suface. It's not dull and gray like few others we've seen from this locality. Fine botryoidal groups of Goethite sit on iron-based matrix with the largest "ball" measuring around 5-6mm across. A fine old classic of this elusive and eye-catching material. The piece comes with labels from the collection of G. S. Camm and Paul A. Lowe of England. Valued at $600.
