Item Description

This is a great crystallized specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen, has no Amazonite, but it is an attractive and fine quality overall piece featuring sharp, lustrous, golden-black "sprays" of Goethite in radiating forms. The piece has good aesthetics, and displays well. Keep in mind that this specimen was collected over 35 years ago (August of 1980), when Richard Kosnar found some of the finest color Amazonite from Colorado extant. Don't miss out on this Colorado "classic".
