An aesthetic, diverging spray of splendent, metallic-black, goethite blades from a very famous Colorado locality - the Pikes Peak area. Goethite is usually seen as a rather dull and non-descript mineral, but these old Colorado specimens feature goethite at its best, as gleaming crystal sprays - rarely, as a near radial "star" such as this one! Comes with a custom-made lucite base itself valued at $150 or so, aside from the specimen iteself.
