Item Description
A beautiful example of the uncommon Goethite specimens from Santa Eulalia featuring semi-botryoidal and almost columnar stalactitic groups forming what appears to be a "cast" (epimorph/perimorph) after a preexisting species (most likely Gypsum). I love the fact that the oxidation on the surface has created a multi-colored effect of pastel golden hues which play beautifully against the dark brownish-black hue of the Goethite itself. A very attractive and seldom seen specimen of these older classic specimens from this historic mining district.
