Item Description

A classic and hard to find Zeolite association specimen from the famous Upper New Street Quarry in New Jersey. This piece features a few pink-peach colored, sharp, lustrous crystals of Gmelinite which are associated with a chalk-white trapezohedron of Analcime plus prismatic white crystals of Laumontite on soft green Datolite matrix. The largest Gmelinite crystal measures 1.2 cm across. For overall quality and aesthetics, this is certainly a worthwhile and eye-catching specimen of this uncommon material. On the surface, the crystals are Gmelinite as you can see small "hillocks" on the face of each "rhomb", but there may be underlain Chabazite.
