Item Description

From the find from 2007. The rhombohedral Gmelinite crystals on this specimen are a lovely pink salmon color with very sharp faces, TOP luster and the classic "hillocks" to form what is an overall beautiful display piece. I cannot say for certain which species of Gmelinite this may be, but my best guess would be Chabazite-Ca. The Gmelinites have actually formed pseudomorphs after preexisting Chabazite, and are associated with little white/colorless Analcime. For the quality, color and great visual appeal, this is a beautiful display specimen of this Zeolite species that often occurs in typically less than colorful crystals.
