Item Description

A hard to find association specimen from Rio Oremo featuring greenish Glaucophane with deep red, fairly thick prisms of Rutile and black-green "Phengite" sitting on minor white Muscovite. "Phengite" (a series between Muscovite and Celadonite) was at one time a valid species, and the color is due to the presence of Chromium and/or Titanium cations. The largest Rutile crystal on the piece measures 1.1 cm. If you're a collector of this material, don't miss out on this one, as it's rarely available on the market.
