Item Description
A seldom seen specimen of Glauberite from the Bertram Mine featuring translucent, soft smoky colored blades, forming a complete "floater", with no matrix. The largest crystal measures 2.6 cm. Good quality all around, and this is not a pseudomorph, it's "primary" Glauberite.
From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
