Glauberite (old - rare)

Item Description

Glauberite is a rare Na-Ca sulfate found in salt deposits and is very rare from the two, old salt deposits found in Salzburg. Snow-white, tabular, glauberite crystals are richly and aesthetically clustered on the laminated quartzite matrix. Showy, rich and rare, old-time material from an old museum collection. The piece is probably from the rock salt deposit at Durrnberg. A must for the locality or species collector.
