Item Description
Here we have a beautiful set of unique antique glass beads from the an ancient city of Bagan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Myanmar. The set features 55 "disc"-shaped glass beads, most of which are a dark blue color, but there are two white beads and three rich orange-red beads as well. They're strung on a piece of cord, but I think this is only to keep them together, and it's not means to be worn like this as jewelry. A really cool set from an ancient city reflecting its beautiful culture. I can safely say that you may never have another chance to get a set of beads like this, so don't pass up the opportunity to get your hands on these attractive pieces from this famous historic area. The total weight of all items in this set (including the cord) is 20.2 grams. From the collection of Bill Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill is synonymous with minerals of San Diego County, and owned and operated famous mines such as the Stewart Lithia, the Tourmaline Queen, the Pala Chief and the Himalaya, producing some of the most iconic mineral specimens to come out of the area during the 1970s-1980s. Bill is also known as "Burma Bill" and traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
