Gilmarite (rare Cu-arsenate)

Item Description

Gilmarite is a very rare Cu-arsenate only named in 1999. A 6 mm "ball" of pretty rich blue gilmarite crystals is aesthetically set in one corner of the 1.2 cm wide vug with more gilmarite crystals and green conichalcite botryoids. The matrix is an interesting breccia. A showy and excellent combination example of this rare species from this well-known mine, noted for numerous rare arsenate species. from a noted rarities collection
