Item Description

A very colorful, sculptural and cute lightweight 3-sided crust of bright, rich sky-blue mounded bubbly gibbsite botyroids dramatically accented with yellow-green doyleite. This gibbsite form is very uncommon, worldwide. These Al-oxide species are polymorphs. Polymorphs are two or more minerals that contain the same chemical composition, but differ in their atomical arrangement and crystal structure. This is an extremely fine, aesthetic and uncommon example of the combination species from a small recent find. Gorgeous, unusual, and interesting! Notably the mienral has so little mass, it feels like holding up paper more than a mineral specimen.
