Item Description
Gibbsite is a fairly uncommon Aluminum Hydroxide mineral, that is not often found in attractive display specimen. Recently, China has been producing some of the most impressive Gibbsite specimens to come out of any locality with some of the best blue hues ever seen, combined with larger sized pieces. This specimen is composed of botryoidal, lustrous and translucent, sky blue to aquamarine blue, Gibbsite. This new find is possibly the world's best of species for intensity in coloration. Very pretty material and fairly lightweight. As you can see from the photos, it shows a brilliant yellow-green fluorescence under SW UV light. From a find that came out in 2012.
