Item Description
Gibbsite is a fairly uncommon Aluminum Hydroxide mineral, that is not often found in attractive display specimen. Recently, China has been producing some of the most impressive Gibbsite specimens to come out of any locality with some of the best blue hues ever seen, combined with larger sized pieces. This specimen is composed of botryoidal, slightly translucent, sky blue to aquamarine blue Gibbsite on rarely seen matrix (many pieces are loose "crusts" off matrix). This new find is possibly the world's best of species for intensity in coloration. Very pretty material and fairly lightweight. From a new find that came out in 2012.
