Gibbsite (beautiful color)

Gibbsite is a fairly uncommon aluminum hydroxide species, which historically has not been found in attractive display specimens. Going back to 2012, the Wenshan area in China started producing some of the most impressive Gibbsite specimens to come out of any locality, featuring some of the most attractive blue color ever seen in the species, combined with good-sized pieces. This specimen features a coverage of botryoidal, sky blue to aquamarine blue color Gibbsite on matrix. This find produced what is possibly the world's best of species for intensity of coloration. Very pretty material and fairly lightweight.
