This alluring two-toned blue specimen consists entirely of gibbsite, an uncommon aluminum hydroxide. It is composed of two different color phases: a rich aquamarine-like blue and a lighter sky blue making for a lovely piece. Individual The translucent Gibbsite spherules range between 1 and 2.5mm and display a silky luster. Gibbsite from this relatively new find in Yunnan Province represent some of the most colorful specimens of this uncommon species. Surprisingly lightweight, but also fragile!
