Item Description
Giant spinel-twinned copper specimens of this impressive size from the famous early 1970s finds are a Ray Mine classic. The showy piece is highlighted by the diverging copper spinel-twins with broad "leaves" or branches along the clefted spine and the unusually shaped "tail" of this floater specimen. The piece is composed entirely of very sharp, tiny tetrahexahedral copper crystals, giving the piece has a nifty nubby look. The patina varies from beautifully sparkly, golden to matte rust-brown. A very highly desirable large copper from this classic find. Ex Sal Avella Collection. Valued at $1500-2000
