Getchellite (rare) with Orpiment

Item Description

Here we have a rich cabinet sized specimen featuring small areas of red Getchellite in the form of vitreous, platy crystal faces, with associated Orpiment that ranges from a semi-metallic golden-orange color to almost a reddish-brown hue due to oxidation in various areas. The Orpiment crystals show a layered growth / formation, but there are some cleaved crystals that can be seen as well. A good overall representative specimen from the type locality for Getchellite.
