Item Description
Gerstleyite is a very rare hydrated antimony/arsenic sulfosalt and kernite is a rare hydrated borate. This is a VERY RARE combination from this obscure borate deposit. One side of the clay matrix hosts a 1.0 cm aggregate of reddish granular crystals with two sides covered with very glassy, laminated kernite cleavages. Superlative and rare combination material from the Jim & Dawn Minette Collection. When I had visited the Minette home in the 1990's, Jim had a few of these for sale and was asking $500 ech at that time. they are VERY rare!
