Item Description

A rich and fine combination specimen of the very rare germanium sulfosalt species renierite and germanite from the Tsumeb Mine. Bright orange-red renierite microcrystals (some gemmy) fill a vug of the solid matrix of gray, metallic-luster germanite. The germanite ore has a colorful purple-green-blue iridescence. Tsumeb is the Type Locality for germanite. From the 29 Level of this world-famous and closed mine. Ex. Marshall Sussman dealer stock.
