Item Description
This is a solid 31-gram specimen of Germanite-rich ore from the lowest and last of the oxidation zones of the world-famous Tsumeb Mine. This region was noted for its incredible wealth of very rare elements and minerals containing Germanium, among others. The Germanite ore ranges from mauve veins to gold spatterings, and it can show a colorful purple-green-blue iridescence. Tsumeb is the Type Locality for Germanite. An excellent miniature.
